Subject: Challenger 975E information

Pittsburg, Kansas
I had a 955B Challenger 4wd when I was actively farming. Retired now. Sold it. Was a good tractor.

The last couple years I was farming Agco came out with the V12 975E and I saw them at farm shows. I always wondered how that V12 Sissu held up. I had a 645 with the Sissu engine and it worked fine.

Seemed like that v12 had 4 turbos and they were asking a lot out of it. How did that engine hold up? How well did it pull? The 6 cylinder in the 645 was gutsy.

I thought at the time Agco was rolling the dice on how well a V configuration engine would be accepted in the AG market. V8's hadn't established a very good reputation, although in industry, mine trucks and generator sets big V engines are used and run tens of thousands of hours.

Just curious if anyone had one and what they thought of it. I'm not in the market or anything. Just wondering.
