Colfax Indiana | We split application every year whether wet or dry. To me it’s more important in wet years when N can disappear with to much water. Here we over 10 inches of rain in last 13 days. I was able to Y drop wed and ground rigs was parked. Not gonna say it was perfect. But today we can see the green up in the corn has started and the corn is yellowest it’s been before. Fuel usage not a concern if we can benefit the corn. I’m still out y dropping later than most. As tall as Hagie is you can drive by those fields with the one and done nitrogen shot and see those light green places struggling and needing another shot. We have found heavier test weights with the second trip late. 26 will be my 5th year with split application . Not gonna quit | |
