Planning on putting up a 21' and a 24' later on this summer with the intentions of natural air drying. Seems to be debated if that truly works in our area but I am willing to give it a try. I am running different scenarios with the u of m calculator and some fans could push almost 2 cfm/bu through at a 16' grain depth. I guess my big question is: will more fan help overcome drying issues? Or is it just burning more electric with the same outcome? If I can get 1 cfm with a 5hp fan but could get into a 15hp for not much more money would it be worth it? I know there are equilibriums and I need to get the book or sheets and study them and I am also doing research on the probes and fan controllers.
