Malta, Illinois | I didn't read all of the responses here but from what I have read I think this might be a classic case of trying to John Wayne it or tough it out and work through it. We are all guilty of doing things like that. I don't have time to be sick! This illustrates perfectly the need to listen to your body. If something does not feel right for a day or two you need to listen to your body and get checked out. If something feels really wrong for even a short period of time listen to your body and get your butt to the ER right away. I am not saying go screaming to the ER every time you have a runny nose but we all need to get in tune with our bodies and realize what is normal or acceptable and be ready to take action if something is not right. Twice in my life I ignored something for longer than I should have and it nearly cost me my life both times. I am much more proactive now with my healthcare than I used to be. I don't like going to the doctor more than anyone else but I am not afraid to go if something does not seem right. | |
