Box or rotary magazine-fed lever guns allow you to use spitzer bullets, which give you modern ballistic performance. Two examples of this are: Box fed: Browning BLR. Rotary fed: Savage 99. You can find Browning BLR's in .243, 7mm08, and .308. I have one in .308, and it is a very good performing carbine. Savage 99's might be found in .250 Savage or .300 Savage, in older models, and .243 Win, 7mm08, and .308 Win in later production instances. |
