| We have timer and again had a better crop planted later than early early.
Most used to say May 10 if you had to pick a day.
I have seen data many years ago that said up until May 16 no loss on corn for middle western Iowa.
My personal experience is with that and beans planted Memorial Day for me have been better than planted the second week of May.
The problem is beans drop off fast after June 1.
Full disclosure, I have beans planted in mid April this year.
They are not as big as the ones planted a week later as they are just now coming up.
