| Would limiting the money printing press to the population increase stabilize and maintain the purchasing power of the dollar? The problem as I see it is the current system is just a numbers game where everyone is chasing bigger numbers but the average civilian’s apparent gain in wealth is thwarted by the devaluing of the purchasing power of the currency at a faster rate than the increase in the size of the number.
