I realize you're a long ways from here but I'd never ever want to have 75% of my corn to plant yet at this point in time even with the troubles some of the earlier planted corn has.
In this part of the country, the odds are very high that 75% of an April planted stand (24k final) will out yield a 100% stand (32k final) planted in the last week of May.
Pioneers online replant calculator says a 24k final stand of corn planted on April 22 still has 95% of its yield potential. Meanwhile they give 32k stand planted on May 23 (today) a yield potential of 89%. Wait until May 25 (Monday) to plant and it drops to 87%.
That's based on historical data and trials, outliers certainly can happen but the odds are against a late planted crop.
