Central NC | About 10 years ago I did some work for ATT in the Kings Mtn NC data center, two identical rooms, all equipment duplicated, a portion of not all was for fiber conversion to break it down to useable portions, as each fiber carried 40 channels of 40 gig per wavelength, at that time the room was cooled based on heat dissipation per square foot, some equipment had to be placed 6 ft apart as the cooling could not cool the equipment was more compacted, then some time later, supplemented AC units were brought in and placed between the cabinets, the rumor was that this complex was to store all Att calls forever, this section of building was maybe 5 percent of the entire building | |
