i think we’re more likely to run out of water for irrigated corn than oil at this point.

I’d rather have gas be gas and ethanol be ethanol. Cars designed for 100% ethanol would probably be pretty powerful. I already have several things I can’t run pump gas in because it either spoils sitting or they just won’t run on it.


When was the last time it “rained” oil.. we can recharge aquifers.. and if your following Kansas water policy.. then you’ll understand what “Q stable” is all about.

the vast majority of ethanol is produced from “dryland” or non irrigated sources.. even in Kansas.. 3 acres+ of dryland corn for ever irrigated one.. not that we don’t make the irrigated acres count.. production wise.. but the push is for Q Stable now.

80.. 85% of ethanol is produced from dryland.. 95% 97% from stable dryland and Q stable irrigated.. soon to be 100%.

so.. in short.. problem well on the way to being solved.
