E.Central MN | There's a "sustainability" issue when farmers need a lot of imported fertilizer to grow corn. The same applies to using up crude oil resources to create fossil fuels. At least with ethanol we don't have to send troops to secure fertilizer resources overseas, at least not yet anyway. The anti-ethanol folks keep predicting mass starvation because we use so many bushels of corn for fuel....so far I've never seen it. | |
