| When tubes are horizontal, gravity pulls the seeds down so they lay on the bottom of the tube. The air going past it pushes and rolls the seed along bottom of the tube. If the velocity is to high, the seed starts to bounce as it slides and rolls. Too much bouncing and it bonces off the top and sides of the tubes, which slows down the seed, and bounces it down into other seeds getting pushed along, and it can forms a plug. | |
