Mid-Michigan | Had a little bit on my truck hood. My weather station sad it got down to 31 at 530. Nothing up around here but a few guys planted some sand. Really nobody moving except a few (i think that's the case in everyone's area). You'd really have to be one of the "I've got to be done first guys" to even think about working with our current forecast. I think most guys will be rolling this week (including me). Im really anal about a tractor on wet or even damp ground. Compaction is my greatest detrimental, self inflicted issue. If I work my ground wet I pay a serious penalty. I only farm 1000 acres. I've paid (and my dad) a lot of money to tile everything. The only real way for me to screw things up as operator error is to work stuff wet. Right now the ground is close as far as wet. Planting with 2 or 3 days of below freezing temps is just stupid for me. Going to do some burndown and put my second shot of n on my wheat. Then get rolling. Good luck to everyone. Mid michigan.
