Boone Co. Iowa
Read a post the other day from AgPhD. Said they plant their outside 2-3 rows of corn at higher population.

I am planning on that this year to capture the sunlight.

40k, 38k, 36k, then normal from the outside 3 rows in.

Will take me 2 minutes in each field from the cab.

Will this ROI? Nah. Will it be better? Yep.

I am no-till, but doubt I would be trying it without the bells, whistles, and hydraulic downforce.

Have starter and fertilizer in planter this year. Placing more nutrients closer to the seed, both vicinity and timing.

Not sure about ROI but feels a lot better than my past fertilizer applications.

Use a 30 year old Kinze to plant beans.

Have a very good dealer and support. Doubt I would be so excited if that wasn’t the case.
