| Canola can come up from deep or it can come up thru packed dirt, if you're planting deeper try not to pack too much over the seed. I target 1" on spring canola, anything under 2 is fine in loose soil, and if it's warm soil you can go even deeper. We plant winter canola at 2-3" and I've been told to go up to 4 chasing moisture, never tried that deep tho. Comes up great. I've had more problems with shallow planted stuff than deep. Picture is of spring canola planted 3 inches deep where the drill sagged on a sidehill. Took longer but did just fine.
