NW MN | I shoot for 1”. If you are full tillage, chase the tillage tool if your soil types allow it. I like to be no more than 10 minutes behind the VT. Plant into moisture and seal it back down. Not a big fan of planting canola behind a field cultivator, too much loose dry soil on top. I farm primarily sandy loams to loamy sand.
