When one of the top 2 profitable crops is prevent plant corn, it should not be insurable for those selected areas. Actually prevent plant shouldn’t be allowed anywhere for any reason. Blame it on whatever makes you feel good, but non typical corn production areas thinking they are now an I state has killed the corn market. Iowa doesn’t grow edible beans or spring wheat to ruin that market.
You do realize the I states were the Wheat, Barley, and Oat belt at one time? Potatoes as well.
The I states themselves killed whatever market you complain about because everyone grows two things anymore instead of five or six. |
