North Central US | Since the announcement about e15, I've seen on multiple other forums, YouTube, and Facebook:
E88/unleaded88 is 88% ethanol, what do I need to do to make my vehicle ready for it?
Should I run e85 instead of e88 since it has less ethanol?
Is e88 88 octane or 88% ethanol?
Is e85 85 octane or 85% ethanol?
Here my gas has been tested and it says it is only 7% ethanol, what will double do?
What will e88 do in the cold weather with all the ethanol in it?
Why are they putting more expensive ethanol in?
E85 is the same price as normal gasoline what are we gaining with more ethanol?
Do I need different injectors for the new high blend ethanol?
How do I adjust the carburetor for more ethanol?
Do I have to mix 93 octane gas with the new e15 to raise the octane?
---
Where are the ethanol and corn lobbies again? This seems like the place for them to explain all of this to the public. Are they too busy getting their picture taken in DC?
On a different note, now would be the time to start reading all the ethanol horror stories and defending ethanol, as there's quite a few posts and comment sections about how people run no ethanol due to all the problems ethanol caused them from the original RFS mandate. Doesn't matter where, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Japanese brands, Korea brands, lawn equipment, construction equipment, ethanol and its problems are back in the spotlight again at places where they are discussed. | |
