West Lafayette IN | I want to use it. We run e30 as much as possible. I believe it makes sense financially as a consumer and as a corn grower. My cars have a better throttle response with the higher octane and any loss in mileage is more than offset by the cheaper price. Less expensive per mile.
I wish they would have chosen a different name for e85. Most gas stations offer 87,89, 91 or 93 octane. E85 causes confusion. “It’s cheaper than 87 octane, is it because it’s 85 octane?” No, e85 is 105 octane. Bad choice of name. | |
