North iowa | You can fight a lot of fire with a 1”attack line but you need a minimum 100 gpm pump to run two lines. Water tank capacity is the key, figure two lines 100 psi 30 gpm nozzle equals 60 gpm so 5 minutes of flow runs through 300 gallons. Don’t get me wrong you can do a lot in 5 or six minutes but water availability is the factor. | |
