| Need some guidance, I have a 2 row John Deere vacuum planter. I am wanting to plant some pumpkins with it. The planter is set up 30 inch rows and I have small and large sweet corn plates,soybean plates and medium edible bean plates. My question is in the past hill dropped seed for pumpkins by hand do you think I could cover holes in my soy bean plates by 90 degrees of each other and hill drop pumpkin seed to give adequate spacing between hills? Or would i be better with 1 row and use a single cell plate and singulate if possible and what spacing between seeds. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. | |
