Wisconsin | Article written by a millenial. The grain cradle wasn't replaced by the "mechanical thresher" at all, it was replaced by the reaper, then reaper binder, and all three were used with mechanical threshers.
Interesting, grain cradles were a hot antique in the 70's and 80's, now they're virtually worthless.
