Central MN | I don’t think a little bit of top soil you’d get by spreading on top would make a difference. If it was me, rent a power aerator and go north and south then east and west. Leave the plugs on the ground and mow in a few days then seed, fertilize and lightly rake. Then water everyday a little bit until it gets established eventually cutting back to heavy, infrequent watering. Also mow at 3-4 inches tall minimum | |
