NW Washington | I, too, remember my grandfather mowing grass along the road with a scythe with the stone in his back pocket. The grass looked like it was cut with a mower. He also trimmed the hedge in front of his home by hand.
He was an Englishman who came to the US via Canada, and I think he lived in the London, Ontario area until moving south. | |
