And you know that especially concerning football, I'm 100% correct.

Most of your fanbase still acts like its 1995, even ones that weren't born yet to see the last time Cornhusker football was relevant outside of Nebraska.     Kirk Ferentz has more Big Ten wins in Memorial Stadium than your last 3 coaches (including the current one) do.



As a Nebraskan who is old enough to remember the glory days of UNL football, you would probably be shocked at how little most fans care about the football program these days. Sure, we want them to get back to winning again, but the current younger folks have never seen much winning in their lifetimes.

If the winning returns, the fans will care again.

The basketball program is very similar. The fans don't all show up when the team isn't winning very often, but they sure do in a season like this one and it goes from not being able to give tickets away to people paying $200+ for average seats.

Iowa Football has had some pretty tough and reliable teams in the same time period and while they might not win every game, they are sure doing better than the Huskers.....
