Daughters have been helping me sort through 'stuff' and that includes many pictures.
Came across these 3 that show the power of lightening and fortunately the tree was taller than the house.
There were a couple slabs thrown from the tree that you could have milled a 2X6 out of and pieces in the grass in front of the house.
I happened to be away so missed it but everyone in the house noticed when it struck
