Just this sidenote. I wondered how Westeel bins cd be competitive in the US because bins are made in Canada. So I asked Westeel dealer.
Westeel is owned by AGI, an American company. So no tariff.
Not sure if that applies to the machinery lines that AGI owns or not.
I am under the impression that AGI is s Winnipeg Manitoba based Canadian publicly traded company. No idea who holds the shares.
At one point when I inquired, I was told Westeel no longer rolled/produced their own bin sheets and was purchasing material from a USA supplier. Never checked to see if that was in fact true. |
