SW Ohio | If Alliant Power makes a pump i'd try theres. I've talked to some guys in shops that are having issues with OEM parts for 7.3's and 6.0's as Ford has switched suppliers and quality has really dropped off. I've used quite a few Alliant Power parts and i believe at the moment they are considered as good as the old OEM stuff, and may have been the original OEM supplier to begin with.
If you really want a project you could build/buy a kit like whats available for 94-97 Ford's, and switch over to a Bosch electric fuel pump used on the 99-03 7.3 Ford's and spin-on fuel filters. I did it on my '97 when i put bigger injectors in 15 years ago, think i i had $300 in it at the time including a new electric pump and filters/filter bases from Napa. | |
