| I converted a 6.9 to fit my 78 F-250. After the mechanical pump quit and I had gelling problems out here I put a small square style electric pump on until it died.
I then switched to am Amazon Carter pump that fits a Dodge and it's been on it trouble free for 5 or more years now.
Mine is mounted just forward past the frame tank switch next to the transmission. I wanted as close to the tank and as low as possible.
I installed it with a relay for longevity. | |
