Subject: Data is huge

And you are correct in that most University studies collect it in reams.... that helps add to depth and value.

I fervently disagree with the crowd that says University research is not in tune with modern production.... I ask based on what? The latest thought someone has on a new production method? Give an idea time and research and then let us judge if it is valuable.

There is a long litany of individuals saying 'you can't use replicated research, every farm is different'! While every farm is indeed different, there are many facets that are common to farms across a given area, soil type, geography, etc. It is the replicability and scalability of the research data that gives it value.

I was openly criticized for my belief in 'reductionist research' ; where you are identifying the individual variables and their effect on the end result.

It is a fair discussion to debate the best type of research, but many in the soil health and regenerative groups do not even want to venture into the replicability discussion. There seems to be an affinity for anecdotal data vs. empirical data.
