SE IL | Good thought. I know of a situation where the land was split relatively evenly, but the land could not be sold outside the family for 10 years. This gave the current farmers time to try to buy it or figure out how to precede if they lost it. For 10 years the non farming heirs got income from it and could sell within the family just not outside. Sounded pretty smart to me. | |
