I will be the really odd guy as a Son is taking over the farm more each yr. but I have told him,non farming Son also I don't care if you sell, rent or farm the land . Just hope everybody can have Holiday dinners together after I am gone.

We struggle with succession & wills yearly. The old "the child that stayed home and sacrificed..." is imho today BS. A lot of stay at home and farm kids have as good of pay as their working siblings, piles of perks, fuel ,trucks, time off , maybe housing,ect.

Never going to be 1 solution for every family...You can be an only child and get everything and the next day get diagnosed with cancer. Their still is some who thinks the farm/money is more important than everything else
