I addressed this above.. but repeating for those who need it.
This testimony is correct.. and spot on.
”Immigrants do jobs which are supportive to OTHER jobs held by natives.. aka the dish washer in the back.. or worker chopping the vegetables.. or worker picking the vegetables in the fields.. workers processing said vegetables and trucking them.. warehousing them.
Beef.. feeding cattle.. trucking cattle.. processing cattle into beef.. warehousing.. trucking etc..
Dairy.. general laborers.. milkers.. those who work at the processing plant.. truckers.. etc.
ALL.. so the high end restaurant in DC or New York can service it’s customers.
AI.. will the 14,000 middle mangers fired last month by Amazon go to work picking vegetables in a field? Washing dishes? Cleaning bathrooms.. or making rooms for hotel guests?

So the US has jobs.. because others.. immigrants.. do jobs.. which can then be hand off to others.
Do tell.. will Union workers.. or those let go from Amazon work the slaughter lines for Tyson or any of the other four big processors?
Its a good gig for those coming from other countries.. which can pay.. $25/hour.

Which is Why this industry.. Also.. will probably get exported.. overseas.. just like textiles. And other crops.. which we Used to grow here in the US.. see the decline in California Ag.
In short.. America is the strongest economy due to the diversity of our work force.. yes Unions were needed for a reason.. if all jobs were done by unions.. we’d starve. At least the amount spent on basic essentials like food.. would double or triple.. and US consumers would have less to spend on.. other.. stuff.. disposables.. etc.
