Where in any of my post did I blast Gary? Gary and I have had this discussion before and if Gary was buying my calves, he was helping me, the cow-calf guy the most by being the high bidder. Yes, Gary was and does make a good business decision when locking in a profit buying calves, something a cow-calf guy can never do. Now Gary isn't having any fun because of the price of feeder calves. Well selling feeder calves for what you have in them for many years isn't fun either. But we do quite well with raising 500 acres of corn and 500 acres of beans, but yes, 50-60 cows was not returning what I felt it should have for the investment and time I was spending. I to now will buy feeder calves and backround or finnish when I can lock in a profit.
