Without immigration our population would be flat lined to declining. So, yeah, we actually can.

Is there actual, ya know, evidence for that assertion? Every respectable study that's been done has shown that A) immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than native born and B) they contribute to the economy at possibly a greater rate than native born.
