Seemed like a lot of equipment for less than 800 acres. Assuming they rented a fair amount? Was your friend a collector? All of the 4320s? Or just left overs. Either way I thought they brought good money. I thought most of the equipment sold pretty good for the current market. Auctioneer didn’t do a very good job photographing and describing it for the online bidders.

Rich never married --out lived his mother by a year --NEVER showed a profit -just bought equipment
Big round baler possibly made 100 bales still had paint on the intake ---inline ripper used on 40 acres ---Krause Excellerator probably 300 acres of use
--had a NEW 5 year old never used $80,000 big name pull scraper-- better to buy equipment than pay Income taxes
His nephew --kept a restored 6030 -4020 and-JD 520
multiple 4020's, 4320's and 48what ever bought used and never used
almost all buildings on the farm were insulated and heated

They rented possibly 100 acres ---had 200 head of cattle on feed till Rich died

Dan

I don't know anything about JD equipment BUT heard through the grape vine equipment brought $300K more than Everett thought it would
FWIW the Excellarator brought less than $50K --a new one $150K range --we thought about bidding on it but have a pretty good one don't need 2
Add the 3 Landoll tillage tools 30' or more wide basically new $30K range each
