The same political party that advocates for a living wage also supports exploitation of illegal immigrants for cheap labor. This is modern day slavery, pay less than half of what an American citizen would expect to be paid. Offer a high enough wage to get citizens to do the job and if that's not feasible then innovation steps in and we develop machines to do the jobs which ends up creating other jobs that citizens are more likely to do. Go to a golf course or ultra wealthy area in California and you will see the people benefiting the most from cheap labor are the wealthy. The people getting hurt the most are middle and lower class citizens by wage depression. Don't say citizens won't do the job, you pay me enough I'll come do it myself.
