It’s all just bs this time of year. We could use some drought here right now.

I'm about 100 miles southeast of you..For the past 4 years you have seemed to get the timely rains when we dont..I was by your place several times last fall and you had some awesome looking beans that looked like 60-70 bpa plus..Ours were less than half that..We've had 4 lousy bean crops in a row...It just wont rain in July-August,September..We've also had two total corn failures in 2022-2023..2024 and 2025 were close to normal yields.

I added up the rain for the past 4 years and it totaled 147 inches for a average of close to 37 inches per year..That isnt exactly a drought but we just cant get rains when we need them...Last year my area had 24 to 40 inches of rain in April,May,And June which drowned out lots of the corn..Then it quit dinging the beans for the 4th year in a row...We still had 150 bpa corn but could have had close to 200 if it werent for the drown out spots..The wheat has been great here the past 3 years but it doesnt make any money.

We ended up with 2.5 inches for the weekend and not a drop ran off..Hopefully in 2026 we will get the rains that we need in July,August, and September.
