Talking with guys really only been 1 good drought. 1988 guys took all there corn off with haybines because the foxtail was so bad because none of the herbicides worked.
Genetics have gotten so much better even in the last 10 years in normal corn country I dont think it matters much anymore. Only thing that kills corn is being underwater and being blown over.
2023 flash drought in the fall had some 90 degree days with 40 mph winds sure did make the trees quit about a month early. | |
