That's a clean looking truck for coming up on a 1/2 million miles and that age. The newer style wheels dress it up too.

We're still living in the stone ages on our farm too with manual transmissions.


I joke that anyone who talks **** on a 90s or older pickups pulling abilities probably experienced one with an automatic.

Dad had the 390 4spd 73 F350 over Vail pass a few times with a load, and the 89 F-super duty 7.3 ZF5 with a 48' flatbed over Donner a couple times, so in all reality this was childs play. Though I did get new axles on the want list after that run, 21,500 it handles without needing much for trailer brakes, 24k it let me know I needed working trailer brakes...lol

My 89 7.3 with ATS. That thing was a hazzard to driveshafts. Yep 400 by soybeans, plus’s 400 corn. Going up hill for fun I goosed it. Realized I easily could have destroyed driveshaft.
