I think the only "cold start" I ever did was a 1086 when it was 8 degrees.
The 10 rattled and complained, but it started with no assistance of any kind.
That is why we still have those 70s and 80s IH tractors here for feeding. When the power goes out or something happens, they will surpringly start in negative double digits without ether. They aren't happy without their heater, especially the hydraulic system, but they will always start. |
