TX Panhandle | More misunderstandings here…. DEF helps eliminate soot/smoke by allowing advanced injection events to allow time for the fuel particles to burn from the outside in. This causes more NOx that the DEF bonds to.
My experience is with Bosch denoxtronic systems that don’t use a diesel injector in the exhaust. They use multiple injection events to have extra fuel in the exhaust stroke to heat the regen cycles.
What systems inject fuel in the exhaust? I’ve read this on the internet multiple times but have never seen a vehicle or equipment with it.
