If you actually use your pickup for towing more than a gallon of milk diesel is worth it.

All highway mileage on these new diesels is pushing 18-20 and if you are easy at 55-60 you can push 22MPG. And when it’s time to snort a full trailer it’s so much nicer pulling.

My 2023 F350 SRW is at around 17.5 life of vehicle for 59,000 miles. Probably 20,000 miles pulling a gooseneck of some kind. Get around 13 pulling a 24' livestock trailer. Around 10 pulling a 36' 11.5' tall enclosed trailer. Maybe 10-13 pulling a 32' flatbed depending on the load. I have gotten as high as 27.5 on a 125 mile trip with no wind running empty. 1,000 mile round trip to Ohio last summer averaged 24.3 hand figured. Routinely average 18-20 on short trips around home. About 10% of total engine hours are idle time. Have not had all the DEF and emissions issues others seem to have. On my third 6.7.
