Alentejo, Portugal
It would be nice, but never going to happen

My experience with DEF and emission related issues on this side of the world:

We have 2 Caterpillar wheel loaders, both use DEF. Several service calls due to "poor quality DEF", a leaking (burnt through by the exhaust!) injector line (800€ for a plastic line and a piece of wire with 2 connenctors!) Both our current older 926 M and our previous 924 K (since last year replaced by another 926 M) had the EGR cooler leaking coolant into the engine, hidro locking it. On the old one, parts, labour, cleaning the coolant out of the system, 7000€ repair bill. Never been the same, power wise, even a forced regen didn´t make a difference. Heck we tried straight piping it to see if the problem was in the exhaust, but didn´t make a difference either. The newer one, 4-5k repair bill too. Will be deleted In the future though

Several Case IH tractors using DEF, several had DEF related service calls, never big problems, but dealer needs to come out and fix it.
