Very southern Mn | Agree on tax. Currently can write off in one year so building it over time and writing off improvements over 5 years or so. Tax deal even bigger on bin type deal as it does have real depreciation as it can’t easily be moved, so a 40% tax year cheapens things up quite a bit. Here in our weather we can’t count on anything after Nov 1 and a lot of times start at 25%. So we have storage for most everything. Both speed of harvest, basis and drying costs.
Bagging would sure intrigue me more if grain was dryer more than wet, had no site and no clear direction in markets. Here generally are moving grain closer to final processors when going to our site | |
