I do it because i don't want to slug that 2-5 micron fuel filter with 30 micron fuel.
I stand on a little ladder or chair.
But ya you can fill it if you want to.


I have 4 micron filters on all of our tanks at the shop.

Crappy filters and crappy old farm tanks cause way more fuel issues than prefilling a filter...but I agree, not everyone should do it that way. I miss the Tier 3 electric pumps
