Center Valley Wisconsin | Guessing many times an agtalk approved thing is someone's opinion that never tried any of the other options. (Example=Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt.)
One of many that never made sense to me,,,,someone asks about painting something,,,,,,,and then asks which paint gun to buy. Many comment buy a cheap paint gun and throw it away when your done.
I would guess maybe if you're older and know you will never use it again that would work. I would say if you are younger and enjoy shop work,,,just go and buy a quality paint gun,,,learn how to use it (not hard to learn with good equipment) and you'll probably get along with it just fine for the rest of your life. Started blasting and painting here back in the 90s for side income and learned early on the cheap guns were inconsistent with cheap components that wore out quickly. (Fluid cap and fluid needle wear out quickly and spray pattern is all over the place..) ended up buying binks spray equipment that still using today and can still get parts for. (Binks 2001 spray guns and binks 2 quart pressure pot and binks 2.2 gallon pressure pot)..also pick out a quality brand of paint and learn how to spray it. (There's a learning curve to spraying different paints also) So chose PPG here,,,also used a few Sherwin-Williams products with success.
