That’s kind of the direction we’re going with extra acres we don’t have time to harvest is hire that done, usually while we’re drilling wheat then we get into dry corn.
I like your math. I still have a hard time building bins. But you need to be a little better at marketing to make up some of the difference. With a mixture of irrigated and Dryland ground it makes it a little easier. I forward contract most of my irrigated bushels and fall back on Dryland production to make up a shortfall due to hail or some other disaster on the irrigated. |
