| If you have nothing and are trying to get done before '26 harvest you should probably get the bins built and use an auger. You could probably throw a used leg up with wires and use it later as a secondary or dry leg if you wanted to go that way and all the labor and crane costs didn't bother you.
I guess it's interesting to me you seem to be going from no storage to a commercial sized setup overnight. Your stage 2 project that you describe is probably a $2 million project everything hired out. You didn't even mention a drying setup. This probably isn't possible if you don't have 3 phase.
I don't know your background but if you're starting from nothing grain handling wise and have the means and needs for what you're describing I would try to pump the brakes a little and possibly hire a professional to help you layout this bin site and get a plan together to build in stages. There are a million little things that someone experienced can see and point out that will make life easier and can't be undone once the structures are up. | |
