Somehow if you could drive home the idea of the more jobs he can plan for 1 day, the more savings. I would agree driving that far for 2 or 3 hours is bad for you.
I can follow your reasoning for the new billing structure, but sometimes simpler is better for all.
Also would not hurt to ask how he thinks would be a better billing structure.
